Norman Borlaug, a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, died this week at age 95. He has been credited by some with saving over a billion lives with his work in increasing agricultural production.

CRS Forum on HIV concludes in Washington DC

The care of people living with HIV was the subject of a two-day forum organized by CRS on September 15-16 in Washington DC. Over 100 participants attended the meeting, including academics, policy makers, beneficiaries and CRS staff.

The Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) will attend the CRS Forum on HIV, to be held in Washington DC on September 15th and 16th.

U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator to speak at CRS Forum

Ambassador Eric Goosby will speak at the HIV Continuum of Care Forum on Wednesday morning, September 16, at 9:00 a.m.

Dr. Goosby is the United States Global AIDS Coordinator, leading all U.S. government international HIV/AIDS efforts. In this role, he oversees implementation of the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), as well as U.S. government engagement with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
