Baby-Friendly Farms

While women in Sierra Leone breastfeed consistently and frequently, mothers often give their infants water and other substances. As they do not practice exclusive breastfeeding, their babies are more susceptible to disease and death. This poster looks at how CRS is helping women in Sierra Leone practice exclusive breastfeeding and improve their nutrition through baby-friendly farms. This poster was presented at CRS’ Holistic Innovations in Agriculture Programming Symposium, held in Washington D.C. on April 20, 2009.
