Medios de vida: Estudios de caso de Construcciones de cadenas de valor

Desde el año 2009 hasta el 2011, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) en un trabajo conjunto con las instituciones “La Asociación de Promoción y Desarrollo - ONG El Taller” y “Caritas del Perú Sede Cusco” desarrollaron un programa “Medios de Vida” para cambiar la producción tradicional, producto diferenciador en el mercado, cadenas productivas (hierbas aromáticas, hortalizas orgánicas y lácteos) y seguridad alimentaria de los cultivos ancestrales para 15 comunidades en 10 distritos de las regiones de Cusco y Arequipa con el fin de promover la dignidad de las personas mejorando sus condiciones económicas a través de actividades productivas sostenibles y competitivas.

How the CRS-Led ACORDAR Project in Nicaragua Is Helping Small-Scale Farmers Become Major Players

The CRS-led Alliance to Create Rural Development Opportunities through Agroenterprise Relationships (ACORDAR) assists 7,000 smallholder farmers by helping them produce and sell demand-driven goods. The agency has also helped farmers organize enterprises that maintain multiple off-farm relationships with financial service providers, buyers, local governments and added-value certification bodies.
