Improving cost recovery in the treatment of malaria at the community level in Benin
For children under five in Benin, malaria is a constant threat that can quickly lead to death if left untreated. Despite the prevalence of the illness, only 40% of the population uses government health centers because they are located too far away from their homes. A community-based care delivery system enacted by CRS and its partners has contributed to a solution, providing treatment to children within 24 hours of the onset of fever.
