The integrated management of acute malnutrition (IMAM) strategy focuses on integrating nutrition into routine health services including HIV care and treatment. AIDSRelief, in partnership with the Clinton Foundation, adopted IMAM to mitigate the impact of malnutrition in Ugandan children.

Transitioning to the Ministry of Health
This case study documents the transition of AIDSRelief responsibility for overall management of a large antiretroviral treatment program to the Rwanda Ministry of Health. It is hoped that the Rwanda case study will contribute to the learning of other countries, working in AIDSRelief or other programs, as they embark on the road to transition.
CRS and its local partners have implemented a program to help young people in Sierra Leone acquire skills for informed decision-making, peaceful conflict resolution, and empowerment as well as obtain basic information about HIV in order to reduce transmission and stigma. The program, called Windows of Hope, uses a dual approach to reach students, with instruction in schools as well as Life Skills Centers established and staffed by the project.
The Windows of Hope curriculum is intended to support life skills and HIV and AIDS activities.

Promising Practices III is CRS’ third version of case studies of global promising HIV and AIDS practices. Each of the seventeen case studies is organized according to context, project implementation, identification of successes and lessons learned, and contact information.
