Project Management and Implementation Guidance for CRS Project and Program Managers

Written to respond to field requests for more support on project management. Propack II follows directly from ProPack I, Project Design and Proposal Guidance, and builds on the simple concepts and methodologies introduced in that volume. It includes sections on project management theories and concepts, detailed implementation planning, monitoring and evaluation, and builds on the tools introduced in ProPack I. ProPack II serves as a reference guide for CRS and partner staff in mutual capacity strengthening efforts, in support of CRS’ partnership strategy. Together these manuals provide CRS staff with basic project information and tools from the early design stages through the close of the project.

Le Dossier Project de CRS

ProPack II, guide d’implémentation et de gestion de projet, avait été élaboré afin de répondre à la demande des programmes pays pour plus de support dans le domaine de la gestion des projets. Cela fait directement suite au ProPack I, guide de document de projet et d’élaboration de projet, et tire profit de concepts simples et méthodologies introduits dans ce volume. ProPack II inclus des sections sur les concepts et théories de la gestion de projet, la planification détaillée d’implémentation, le suivi et l’évaluation, et tire aussi profit des outils introduits dans le ProPack I. ProPack II sert de guide de référence pour le staff de CRS et ses partenaires dans les efforts mutuels de renforcement de capacité en support à la stratégie de partenariat de CRS. Ensemble, ces deux manuels offrent au staff de CRS les outils et information essentiels de projet dés la phase initiale de conception jusqu’ à la clôture du projet.

Gerencia e Implementación de Proyectos Guía para Gerentes de Proyectos y Programas de CRS

La Guía para Gerencia e Implementación de Proyectos del ProPack II se escribió para responder a los requerimientos de las oficinas de campo de contar con más apoyo para la gestión gerencial de proyectos. Proviene directamente de la adopción amplia y exitosa del ProPack I, Guía para Diseño y Propuesta de Proyectos, y se sustenta en los conceptos y metodologías simples introducidas en ese volumen. El ProPack II incluye secciones sobre teorías y conceptos de gerencia de proyectos, planificación de implementación detallada, monitoreo y evaluación, y se sustentan en las herramientas introducidas en el ProPack I. El ProPack II servirá como una guía de referencia para el personal de CRS y sus socios en las iniciativas mutuas de fortalecimiento de capacidades, en apoyo a la estrategia de la agencia sobre asocio. Ambos manuales en conjunto proporcionan al personal de CRS información básica, y herramientas que cubren desde la fase inicial de diseño hasta el cierre del proyecto.

Joint Evaluation of Responses to the Yogyakarta Earthquake

CRS, CARE, Save the Children, and World Vision Indonesia responded independently to the earthquake in Yogyakarta on May 27, 2006. But the agencies came to believe that a joint evaluation of their independent responses would demonstrate greater accountability and produce results that would be taken more seriously. This report is the outcome of that joint evaluation.

ProPack (Project Package) aims to help CRS staff work in a consistent manner with partners to raise the quality of our planning processes. It was written in response to field requests for more support on project design and also to incorporate the new Proframe© planning tool.
